I have been going through some weird things lately, things that medical teams cannot explain. They have run all the tests only to find nothing wrong. So, this peaked my curiosity. I was lying in bed and had this urge to look up "physical symptoms of spiritual awakening" and BOOM!!! All my symptoms were right there.


I have been doing energy healing work lately with a practitioner, and each time I have purged, and felt so many things in my physical body, but this time the symptoms had elevated to a whole new level. This is not the first time I have experience this.


The same thing happened to me a few years ago when I was living in Sydney, right after a Reiki treatment.


Both times I have been hospitalised due to the intensity of what I was feeling, both times absolutely no medical explanation.


What I experienced last week was vomiting, intense burning in my chest, and very intense hot flushes to the point that I lost my vision and almost passed out.


Scary right? This of course set of anxiety to top it all off. No answers, no explanation, until I looked this up in a spiritual sense.


I have shared what I have found below.

Experiencing a spiritual elevation or awakening can sometimes come with intense physical and emotional symptoms. These shifts are often described as the body and energy system recalibrating to higher frequencies of awareness or consciousness. While it’s important to rule out medical causes with a professional, here are common physical symptoms that people associate with spiritual elevation:



🔥 Common Physical Symptoms of Spiritual Elevation


1. Fatigue or Exhaustion

• Your body is integrating higher frequencies.

• Sleep may feel less restorative, or you may feel exhausted despite resting.


2. Headaches or Pressure in the Skull

• Especially around the third eye (forehead) or crown chakra (top of the head).

• Feels like energy is “trying to move.”


3. Digestive Changes

• Sensitivities to certain foods.

• Nausea, bloating, or a desire to fast or eat clean.


4. Flu-like Symptoms

• Body aches, low-grade fevers, or chills without any medical explanation.

• Sometimes called “ascension flu.”


5. Sleep Disturbances

• Vivid dreams, waking up between 2–4am.

• Feeling wired at night, or needing naps during the day.


6. Increased Sensitivity

• To light, sound, crowds, or energy of others.

• You may feel overwhelmed more easily or need solitude.


7. Heart Palpitations or Chest Sensations

• Can feel like anxiety, but may be linked to the heart chakra opening.

• Always rule out cardiac issues with a doctor first.


8. Temperature Fluctuations

• Hot flashes, cold chills, sweating at night — not related to hormones.

• Can feel like energy “moving” through the body.


9. Tingling or Energy Surges

• Particularly in hands, feet, or spine.

• Some describe it as “downloads” or “kundalini activation.”


10. Random Aches or Pains

• Especially in the back, shoulders, or joints — where “stuck” energy might be releasing.

• Sudden clarity or insight.

• Emotional release, crying without cause, deep compassion or love.

• Loss of interest in old routines, relationships, or habits.

• Desire to connect with nature, spirit, or your inner self

• A common sign of kundalini energy rising or your chakra system activating—especially the solar plexus or crown chakra.

• This can create waves of internal heat, often felt in the chest, face, or spine.

• It can also happen when you’re “shedding” old beliefs, energetic attachments, or trauma.

Tips for Managing the Heat & Intensity

• Cool water: baths, showers, or swimming can regulate both your body and energy field.

• Breathwork: Especially cooling breath like Sheetali Pranayama (inhale through curled tongue, exhale through nose).

• Grounding foods: root vegetables, protein, and herbal teas like peppermint or chamomile.

• Avoid energy drains: Limit time with chaotic environments or people who leave you feeling depleted.


🌿 Daily Ritual for Grounding & Integration (10–20 mins)


🔹 1. Morning Grounding (5 mins)


Do this barefoot outside if possible, or by a window with sunlight.

• Close your eyes.

• Visualize roots growing from the soles of your feet deep into the earth.

• Repeat slowly in your mind:

“I am safe. I am grounded. I allow what no longer serves me to release.”


🔹 2. Cooling Breath Practice (3–5 mins)


Try Sheetali Pranayama (Cooling Breath):

• Roll your tongue into a straw shape (or gently purse lips if you can’t roll your tongue).

• Inhale deeply through the rolled tongue/pursed lips, feeling cool air enter.

• Hold for a few seconds.

• Exhale slowly through your nose.

• Do 5–10 rounds.


🔹 3. Journaling Prompts (5–10 mins)


Pick 1–2 per day or as you feel called. Let the words flow uncensored.


🌕 Clarity + Purpose Prompts:

• “Right now, my soul is calling me to…”

• “The part of me that is ready to rise is…”

• “When I feel the heat in my body, I think it’s trying to tell me…”


🔥 Emotional Release Prompts:

• “I am ready to release the belief that…”

• “Something I’ve outgrown but have been clinging to is…”

• “This emotion keeps surfacing because…”


🌸 Self-Compassion Prompts:

• “If my body could speak right now, it would say…”

• “The way I can honor myself today is…”

• “I am proud of myself for…”



🧘‍♀️ Optional Enhancements (as needed)

• Crystals: Hold or wear black tourmalinesmoky quartz, or amethyst.

• Herbal tea: Peppermint, lemon balm, or holy basil can cool and calm.

• Salt bath: Add Epsom salts + a few drops of lavender or chamomile oil.
